Our Founder: Juan Ponce de Leon (1474 – 1521)

Our legendary founder may be better known for what he didn't find. In 1513, Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon set sail in search of the Fountain of Youth. He braved treacherous seas, battled relentless heat, and endured sunburned crew members grumbling about "better things to do on a Sunday." But despite years of searching, he never found the magical elixir that would restore his youth and vitality. Unfortunately for Ponce, baseball would not be invented for another 300 years.

Our Founder?

Sadly, Ponce never found the Fountain of Youth.

We did.

Baseball's Fountain of Youth isn't located on Florida swamp land. It's on baseball fields throughout the Baltimore-Washington area. It may be decades since we last played this wonderful game. But time has not benched those who play in the Ponce de Leon Baseball League. We don’t chase myths—we chase fly balls. We don’t search for eternal youth—we grab a bat, step up to the plate, and relive it.

If you thought your baseball days were over—think again. Whether you’re a former high school star, a weekend warrior, or a guy who just wants to see if he can stretch what used to be a triple into a ... single, your field of dreams awaits.

As our teammates will tell you, you don't stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stop playing.

Join the Ponce de Leon Baseball League.

We may not be 18 anymore, but baseball never gets old.
